Healthtech innovator, Qure.ai, has devised an artificial intelligence (AI)-empowered virtual healthcare platform, potentially predicting high-risk patients before they reach emergency rooms. 

With deployments already <a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/industry/sme/qure-ai-develops-virtual-platform-to-tackle-covid-19/1909423/">underway across Europe and South Asia</a>, Qure.ai is now in discussions with various levels of government for potential rollout in public hospitals and healthcare centers.

The Mumbai-based startup, bolstered by recent $16 million funding from Sequoia Capital India and Mass Mutual Ventures, has created the app-based qScout solution. 

This tool, designed for frontline healthcare workers, facilitates remote triaging, contact tracing of Covid-19 patients, and hotspot mapping for efficient supply chain management and test kit distribution.

Prashant Warier, CEO and Co-founder of Qure.ai asserts that qScout helps track, manage, and prioritize testing, improving diagnosis without overloading existing healthcare infrastructure. Leveraging their vast experience with AI solutions and deep learning technology, Qure.ai is reinventing radiology by enhancing imaging accuracy, speeding up diagnoses and treatment times, and making healthcare more affordable and accessible worldwide.

The company's existing chest X-ray automation and interpretation solution, capable of detecting multiple conditions, has been further developed to identify Covid-19 indicators and quantify lung damage. This added feature will aid healthcare professionals in screening and monitoring Covid-19 patients.

Qure.ai develops virtual platform to tackle Covid-19

GeneratorWorks, an Ohio-based software and hardware supplier, is joining forces with California telemedicine provider SmartDocMD to develop SecurePass, a digital coronavirus screening software. The tool utilizes clinical algorithms integrating CDC risk-assessment guidelines, patient symptoms, and medical comorbidities to categorize high-risk patients.

Meanwhile, Atlanta's Jvion has unveiled the COVID Community Vulnerability Map, a ground-breaking AI-based mapping system that pinpoints social determinants increasing communities' risk of coronavirus.

Qure.ai, a healthcare AI start-up based in Mumbai, announced that its chest X-ray automation and interpretation software had been updated with coronavirus-specific detection capabilities. They have also developed an app for monitoring COVID-19 patients and mapping virus hotspots.

Researchers have confirmed the efficacy of RadLogics' AI software that detects COVID-19 in CT scans, which has already seen deployments in China, Russia, and Italy.

Lastly, London's behold.ai has developed the Red Dot algorithm that quickly flags chest X-ray markers, potentially expediting COVID-19 diagnosis and resource allocation.

Enterprising industry players join the AI-aided fight against COVID-19

Healthcare AI pioneer, Qure.ai, recently announced the expansion of its chest X-ray automation and interpretation system capabilities to now include the detection of COVID-19-related indicators. This cutting-edge advancement can significantly ease the stress on overwhelmed healthcare infrastructures worldwide.

Before this, the Qure.ai system could promptly generate comprehensive chest X-ray reports, identifying conditions like tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, lung malignancies, and critical emergencies, including lung collapses and cardiac disorders. The newly integrated feature will discern findings indicative of COVID-19, thereby providing healthcare professionals with vital insights into which patients require further testing and monitoring of disease progression.

Additionally, Qure.ai has rolled out a groundbreaking app, qSCOUT, designed to aid frontline healthcare providers with contact tracing and remote triaging of COVID-19 patients.

Qure.ai Launches Solutions to Help Tackle COVID19

<b>Our chest x-ray product, qXR has received CE certification. </b>

Trained on more than one million chest X-rays, qXR detects 15 of the most common chest X-ray abnormalities with an accuracy of more than 90 percent. Taking only milliseconds to run, the product uses a heat map or bounding box to point out abnormalities to the clinician, facilitating rapid conﬁrmation. In settings without trained healthcare professionals, qXR is already being used to screen for tuberculosis, proving a valuable supplement to the existing healthcare systems. There are fewer than five companies globally that have received a CE certification for AI-based radiology products.

“The chest x-ray is the most commonly performed radiology investigation, but one of the toughest to interpret,” said Dr. Shalini Govil, Quality Controller for the Columbia Asia Radiology Group. “Qure.ai’s solution could serve as a radiology assistant, providing a draft report that can be validated by a physician or radiologist. They’ve also come up with technology to visualize what the algorithm sees – a way to ‘see through the computer’s eyes.’ I think this will be a game-changer on the road to building confidence in AI.”

This technology is also being used globally as a screening tool for Tuberculosis. Forty percent of the 10.4 million annual Tuberculosis cases do not get proper care because they’re not properly diagnosed. qXR can substantially speed up the Tuberculosis diagnosis protocol by screening chest X-rays in milliseconds.
